Kevin Parnell is a coastal geomorphologist at James Cook University in Townsville. He has worked with communities in Torres Strait on issues relating to coastal erosion and inundation since 2006. His other current interests include vessel wake science and environmental effects, and mangrove restoration in parts of Asia.
