"Kaylene Parker has a Bachelor of Science, with ten years’ experience in Natural Resource Management.
Kaylene works for South Coast NRM Inc, in the South West of Western Australia. As the Climate Leader, Kaylene is facilitating and managing the Stream 1 project Regional NRM Planning for Climate Change. The project aims to improve regional NRM planning and use of climate change science, information and scenarios to plan for the impacts of climate change. The project is producing an Addendum to the regional NRM strategy – Southern Prospects 2011-2016. Kaylene’s skills include extensive stakeholder and communication planning processes, necessary to ensure community participation and ownership of planning processes.
Development of the GIS Platform using MCAS modelling, is a mapping process that requires extensive stakeholder consultation to develop the decision making framework. This has been successfully achieved in the South Coast Region, in cooperation with other NRM Regional Groups in Western Australia. Prior to this, Kaylene worked for Department of Water for ten years, focusing on the management of water assets across the South Coast Region.
Kaylene is a farmer, and brings a wealth of practical agricultural experience to the table."
