Tayanah is a lawyer and geographer specialising in coastal climate change adaptation. She has taught law at the Australian National University, and recently completeda research fellowship at the University of Canberra. She is now the Director for Future EarthAustralia, the regional node for the global Future Earth sustainability research network, based at the Australian Academy of Science.
