Alvin is a PhD researcher at The University of Queensland and works as Climate Change Advisor for the Oxfam Australia. At Oxfam he provides technical and advisory to climate change programs and strategies in Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands. Prior to joining Oxfam, Alvin worked at the Environment Protection Authority, Australia and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). While at the UNDP, he was largely involved in implementing UN’s Sustainable Development policies, alongside UNDP’s Climate Change Strategy across the Pacific Islands. Alvin holds multiple Masters Degrees in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Policy and Environmental Management (with Distinction) and is currently a doctoral researcher at the University of Queensland, Australia. During his spare time, Alvin enjoys coffees, nature walks and he frequents Melbourne’s cafes on Sundays.
